''The Reporter'' is an American drama series that aired on CBS from September 25 to December 18, 1964. The series was created by Jerome Weidman and developed by executive producers Keefe Brasselle and John Simon. ==Synopsis== The series stars Harry Guardino as Danny Taylor, a reporter for the fictitious ''New York Globe'' newspaper. Guardino's co-stars were Gary Merrill as city editor Lou Sheldon, George O'Hanlon as taxi driver Artie Burns, a friend of Danny's, and Remo Pisani as bartender Ike Dawson.〔Alex McNeil, ''Total Television'', New York: Penguin Books, 1996, 4th ed., p. 692〕 ''The Reporter'' aired at 10 p.m. Eastern on Fridays following the first season of the CBS situation comedy, ''Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.''.
